I personally go to Summit K-12. It is very good for my 2 children who go here. One is in 10th grade, the other, 5th. They both have gone here since Kindergarten and are very happy. summit has a great academic program espechially in the arts. many different choices of art classes ( ceramics, graphic arts etc)there is a whole lot of parent involvement that makes it a great environment for everybody.

Summit, in my experience, has been great for an integrated, arts-oriented elementary experience. Great art and music programs. Students have access to dance classes, movement and other art forms. Only problem is that all teachers/classes are not taught in the same way. At summit, my children are both inadequetly challenged, and inadequetly provided for. the school lacks spirit, individuality, and income, just to name a few. the school profess's that it is an 'alternative' school, when its two art programs (art and swing dance) are not wanted by most, and nothing special. ...  Read more

We were attracted to Summit by the small size, the family feel and the ability to stay from K-12th. Unfortunately alternative schools are not given adaquate support in the district. We are moving and will miss Summit! My duaghter has developed an incredible bond with her teachers and staff, she has been challenged and developed an incredible self-esteem, I'm greatfull! Thank you Summit K12!

* In 2006-2007 Washington used the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8 and 10, in writing in grades 4, 7 and 10 and in science in grades 5, 8 and 10.
